Stress Relief for High Performers - the RED version!

Please note. This version has a limited save functionality. The todos are automatically erased if you restart your phone. We are working on a fix. Free until it is fixed!

Stress can come from several different sources. Please beware of the seriousness of stress and its consequences. Heavy stress can be hard to get rid of and professional help is recommended. This software is recommended if you have a situation where too many tasks are on you and this makes your situation stressed.

Stress in high performance situations

- Not knowing your way forward is one highly stressing factor.

- If you have a lot of responsibilities and all the tasks are just overwhelming then setting your priorities on a scale of two parameters – level of urgency and level of importance can help alot to relieve the pressure of stress.

These two factors are highly responsible for alot of our self-imposed stress in conjunction of the uncertainty of what the task really means. Edward de Bono has one creative technique that is called the Creative Pause. The fact that you actually take a look at what the things you are supposed to do really are, and what they actually mean, makes you take a Creative Pause and thereby you get a better understanding of the situation. This indicates that you will have the power to weigh the task between the urgent and important parameters.

The whole act of prioritizing has one objective in focus – making you less stressed and more efficient.

Setting level of urgency and importance

Break down what is important and what is urgent. This tends to put the task into perspective and immidiately reduce the level of stress you feel about the task. Or is it the uncertaintiy of the task that makes the stress go up? When you stop to think about how urgent a certain task is, you soon start to realize how you can put certain things aside since they are important but not urgent for you at this time. When you have sorted out your most pressing things no matter what level they are on, you can start your work to get all those things done in the right order.

This app is developed for the iPhone and is based on advice from group therapists and managers in high performance situations.

4/5 stars

Excellent idea and app; more to be a 5

An Excellent idea and app. The idea is to assign an "urgency" to each task as well as an "importance" level. Given that, the programs displays a nice 'graph' showing you which task/event should carry most if the 'weight:focus'

It needs more to be a 5. Could use some settings of some sort. I liked it and bought it.
